David Feherty to Visit Myrtle Beach Sept. 1st
07.27.11 10:38 AM

Golf channel television personality and show host David Feherty is slated to be at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center as part of the Golf.com 28th annual World Amateur Handicap Championship on September 1st. Feherty has a reputation for being quite funny as he hosts his "Feherty " improv and interview style show on the Golf Channel and he plans to appear at the tournament the night of the fourth round.

The celebration is hailed as the "World's Largest 19th Hole" and Feherty will be on hand to speak with regalers and field questons. The 19th hole is an impressive night of golf featuring equipment demos, great entertainment, open bars, concerts, prize drawings and food from some fantastic Myrtle Beach area restaurants.

In addition to being a CBS sports golf analyst, Golf magazine columnist, author, and Golf Channel television show host, Feherty has played on the PGA and European tour. He won five times on the European tour and had three top 10 finishes in the major championships. He placed fourth at the 194 British Open. His witty nature shines bright these days and his show on the Golf Channel is a hit airing on Tuesday nights. It debuted this summer on June 21 and was the most watched series premier in the Golf Channel's 16 year history.

Feherty is a Northern Ireland native and became a U.S. citizen in February of 2010. Troops First Foundation, which works closely with soldiers and their families is a charity that is close to his heart and he tries to visit the troops at least 6 times a year. Not only is Feherty an outstanding host and entertainer he also has a great heart.
