This annual tournament is played over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links and is the only PGA TOUR stop annually in South Carolina. The field is made up of the finest golfers in the world. Harbour Town Golf Links was designed by Pete Dye in consultation with Jack Nicklaus and carries with it a bit of Scottish aire. As well as its noted historic significance, Harbour Town is recognized annually as one of America's top courses, and is repeatedly selected by the PGA TOUR professionals as one of their favorites.

In an effort to offer a higher level of competition for all players, the SCGA conducts a series of One Day events called the 40 Plus Series. True to its name, these events are for the "Baby Boomer" generation, players between the ages of 40 and 54. 20% of the field is reserved for players over the age of 55 and when space is available can be filled by anyone over the age of 40. 40 Plus events are championships conducted as one day tournaments and are generally played on Mondays. Entry fees include cart, lunch, gross and net prizes. Entries are accepted on a first come - first serve basis.

One Day Events Information
The very popular One Day handicap events began in 1964 and have always been a way
of playing a variety of courses at a minimal cost. The SCGA added Senior One Day events
in 1979. This move created more golf activity for an ever growing sector of the golf population.

Eligibility
Anyone with a Current SCGA Handicap (Membership) Card - (age 55 and over)
both Men & Ladies are invited.

How to enter
Call the host club 10 days prior to the event for a tee time. It is a requirement
to play in groups of three or four. It is strongly suggested that you have your own
pairing when calling for a tee time. Individuals may be paired through the club
based on availability.

Entry
Entry fee is $12.00 plus host club's cart fee.

Prizes
The field is pre-flighted according to age. Net prizes (gift certificates) are awarded
in each flight. We also have one Low Gross Winner for the field.
The gross winner must compete from the base set of tees or longer.
Overall winner qualifies for the 2010 Tournament of Champions.
