Double Duty™ Divot Repair Putter Hits the Market!
01.27.10 12:44 PM

Just yesterday, a new golf putter accessory hit the market. After reading about it, we are pretty sure this innovative new invention in golf putter technology will be an instant hit with golfers everywhere, including those that like to play at the great SC Golf Courses throughout the Palmetto State. The really neat thing is that this fantastic golf putter was actually created by a South Carolina resident! That's right—one of our own, Walt Graves of the famed SC Golf region Little River, has been working on the Double Duty™ Divot Repair Putter for the past 6 years. Now that his invention is slated to be available for purchase, we personally can't wait to try it!

Graves is gearing up for the 57th Annual Orlando Fla PGA Merchandise Show—which is scheduled to take place from Thursday, January 28, 2010 to Saturday, January 30, 2010—and believes that all of his hard work and brainstorming will pay off soon. We are sure that it will because the Double Duty™ Divot Repair Putter is pretty nifty, and the United States Golf Association gave its seal of approval on the invention in June when it said that the new putter conforms perfectly to the organization's rules and can be used in upcoming tournaments and rounds. No doubt, this makes Graves very proud!

So what exactly is special about this new golf putter? The Double Duty™ Divot Repair Putter is both a divot repair and a putter, all in one. It has a ball mark repair tool built into the back of a traditional blade-style putter head, and this unique and new technology is something that Graves has a patent for. It is made of 431 stainless steel with a 35 and 1/2-inch center shaft at a 72 degree angle; it has a 360 gram head weight and a 3 degree face loft. You can purchase the Double Duty™ Divot Repair Putter for only $160 and you will also get a head cover and plastic ball grabber that comes with an attachment to the top end of the grip. This can be used to retrieve balls as well and cut down on having to reach down and grab such things for those with back injuries and problems. In fact, Graves says that the idea for the putter concept came after he developed a medical condition that made it hard for him to bend down and properly repair his ball marks. After trying several times to get USGA approval with various versions of the invention, Graves finally received approval this past year. Now, Infiniti Golf is producing the clubs in China and Graves currently has 1,000 right handed models and 100 left handed models in stock.

You can find the new technology starting out at Pro-Master Golf Inc., owned by Phil and Marie Bollinger. This golf shop is located in Longs SC at Crown Park Golf Club. Also, Graves intends to sell the Golf Putter online at www.divotrepairputter.com. If you click to the website, you can watch a great informational commercial on the new golf putter. In addition to being at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Graves plans to head to the Carolinas PGA Merchandise Show in Myrtle Beach SC from February 22 to 23. We wish him much success!
