The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is the home of the Pete Dye designed course of Heron Point. Out of all the Golf Courses In South Carolina, Heron Point has been named one of American's "Top 50 Courses for Women" by Golf Digest in their June issue. 100 female raters based their decision on playability, tees rated for women, atmosphere, and the selection of apparel and merchandise for women in the Pro Shops on site.

Heron Point is the latest creation at The Sea Pines Resort by legendary course architect Pete Dye. In 2007, the course was remastered with a combination sand, mulch, limestone, and different grasses. As with all of Dye's designs, his wife Alice is an integral part of his process allowing for both specifications in men and Women's Golf Games.
